The Jog-a-thon will take place at EskDale Community on the sidewalks on Friday, October 16th from 1:30-3 pm (UT)/12:30-2 pm (NV). Students will run and walk as many ¼-mile laps as they can in one hour. Funds raised will go towards their Boston choir trip in May 2027!
Make a pledge! (Students will also be going around to collect pledges in person!)
What is the Jog-a-thon?
It’s the same concept as the Baker/Garrison Wheel-a-thon, except without the bikes. Students will walk or jog a designated route for one hour and raise funds with pledges.
When is the Jog-a-thon?
The Jog-a-thon will take place on Friday, October 16th from 1:30-3 pm (UT)/12:30-2 pm (NV). At 1:30 pm, the students will come outside, take a group photo, stretch, and get oriented to the route. At 1:45, they start walking/jogging for one hour. At 2:45, we’ll tally the laps, have snacks, and celebrate. At 3 they finish their school day.
Where is the Jog-a-thon?
The Jog-a-thon is at EskDale, on the sidewalks. Here’s the approximate route (in yellow) near the school. Each lap is about 1/4 mile.
How many laps will my student get?
Last year the average number of laps per student was just over 17 laps. The range was 13-31 laps.
Students who walk could do 12-16 laps. Students who jog most of the time could get 20-24 laps.
Each student should make a goal for number of laps and let the people they ask to pledge know their goal. In addition, a flat rate pledge (regardless of number of laps done) can be made. Here’s a table that may help:

How is money collected?
Money is due to the school office by November 2, 2026.
There are several ways to pay:
1. Checks can be made out to EskDale High School (put student’s name on memo line) and sent to: EskDale High School, 1000 Circle Drive, EskDale, UT 84728 or given to the student to take to school.
2. Venmo can be sent to: @eskdalehs
3. Credit card donations can be made via the https://app.99pledges.com/fund/ehsjog26 which gets a credit card processing fee (2.9%) and $0.30 per transaction (there’s no need to leave a tip on the site).

Various bake sales, raffles, and other opportunities will be happening throughout the school year as our students work to raise funds for the upcoming school trip to Boston and also for the XC/Track teams.
