Fillmore Middle School is starting a weekend food backpack program called Mustang Meals. The intent is to offer students a supply of healthy, easy-to-prepare food for the weekend. The program is completely free of charge. Mustang Meal packs will contain food for two breakfasts, two lunches, three dinners, and snacks. Hopefully, these resources will support the well-being and academic achievement of every student who participates. Our hope is that this helps our students return to school on Monday ready to learn.
Any student enrolled at Fillmore Middle School is eligible to participate in the program. Staff will discreetly distribute weekend bags on Friday before the end of the day. The program is run completely by food donations from Central Utah Food Sharing. If you feel that your student would benefit from receiving additional food to meet their nutritional needs over the weekend, we encourage you to complete the attached form by February 6th.
