Title I Statement of Purpose

The Title I, Part A program provides financial assistance to three Millard School District elementary schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families. The purpose of this program is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gap. Each of our Title I schools operate a “schoolwide Title I program” where Title I funds, along with other Federal, State, and local funds, are used to enhance instructional programs for the whole school. These schools must use evidence-based instructional strategies and implement parental involvement activities in order to qualify for these funds.
